This is just a simple tip to free up room on your computer. My laptop was down to about 8GB of storage space, which I don’t keep a whole lot on it (just a few thousand photos), so what was eating up all that space? I checked a few folders and realized that it was my DOWNLOADS folder which was slowly collecting all those downloaded files over the years. It’s just not a place that you would typically think to look. Anyway, I deleted all the files in there and my storage went up to 18GB! That’s a lot of space that was being occupied with non-needed files.
You can access your downloads folder here: On a Mac: Macintosh HD- USERS- “YOUR NAME”- DOWNLOADS Just make sure to NOT delete the actual folder, just the contents inside.
